Desert Aces headlined the US Ambassadors 4th of July celebrations 2008 in the Phoenix Park, joining a long list of prestigious acts who have previously had the honour including: Sharon Shannon, Neil Diamond, The Corrs and the Celtic Tenors.
		His Excellency Tom Foley in his introduction stressed the importance of the traditions of Irish and European Folk Music in the development of the country and roots music that grew up in the Americas and he went on to say that it is great to see the music returning to its origins in Ireland and finding a new voice again on the other side of the Atlantic.
